My name is Chris, this is my blog.

 

I brew beer at home, I review beers that I drink, I eat lots of cheese, and I love beer culture.  I'm originally from Toronto Canada, but I currently reside just outside of Edinburgh in Scotland.

 

I began brewing beer at home 4 years ago when my brother bought me a "MR. BEER" home brewing kit at Christmas.  What seemed like a fun and quirky project quickly turned into an obsession with the creation of the finest beverage on planet.  I graduated from the syrupy brewing kits to an all grain system, and I brew on a semi weekly basis.  

 

In the summer of 2014, I starting on a quest for beer education that led me to Prud'homme (www.tfkbeer.com).  I completed my level 1 "Beer Enthusiast" online, shortly followed by my level 2 "Beer Specialist" certification in class at the SteamWhistle Brewery - taught by industry consultant/educator Roger Mittag (@BierProfessor).
